Under the direction of the Clinic Director, the Business Development Associate is responsible for increasing revenue and volume for an assigned territory/facility. A specific focus of this position will be meeting with targeted referring physicians and their practice staffs with the goal of growing the assigned area volume and market share. Identified and targeting physician customers, building and creating new relationships while maintaining diplomatic relations with offices in the designated demographical surroundings. The representative will be responsible for sales planning, day to day building of relationships with a new physician market, community relations, business development and service line sales. Also, the representative will be responsible for Day-to-day personal sales management of their assigned customer base. In addition the representative will co-partner with the WHI Director, on an as needed basis; attend identified community events and educational dinners, plan and present business development luncheons to potential new customers.
Identify, initiate and maintain contact with targeted referral sources.
Develop target physicians in assigned territory for the purpose of presenting services and fostering business relationships.
Manage prospect list and territory database for highest impact and to meet assigned goals.
Make face-to-face contacts and presentations to all current referring physicians and potential prospects introducing referral services, new and current service offerings.
Proactive field work with targeted physicians and their office staffs to identify needs (needs assessment/profile) and begin a strategy for matching their needs with organizational offerings that are of benefit to the physician.
Develop a relationship sales funnel with identified organizational resources to progress and further engage the referring physician with the wound healing institute, designated hospital, and surrounding Fl. Hospital partners.
Develop and coordinate team presentations with the service line managers and specialist to referring physicians, hospital case managers, and designated healthcare facilities. Regularly share service enhancements with referring physicians on behalf of the wound healing institute that would benefit from down-stream revenue.
Progress notes, wound pictures, and physician orders dictate physician visits, contacts, issue resolution, and market intelligence in the customer relations management per hospital.
Provide information internally to facilitate physician access to service, issues resolution and to new services, hospital staff members or patient service offerings.
Act as liaison for customer service issues to ensure physician information is received by the correct operations or administrative staff member and that issue process is being managed proactively.
