Innophos Hiring for HR Representative – Manufacturing at Nashville, TN Full Time

Innophos is seeking a HR Representative to join the HR team in the company s Nashville, Tennessee manufacturing facility. ing to the HR Manager, the HR Rep provides a wide variety of both complex and routine administrative services supporting the Nashville manufacturing facility and the two Chicago manufacturing facilities. This position will include both tactical activities specific to record keeping and assisting employees as well as providing guidance and direction to management.

The HR Rep is the front-line HR contact for all plant employees and will work very closely with the HR Manager in delivering on the business objectives of the organization. The HR Rep will work independently, knowing when to escalate matters, and is expected to develop effective relationships with the business partners, (e.g., payroll, benefits, compensation, talent acquisition and the labor unions).

Key Responsibilities

• Partners with Talent Acquisition and Managers to identify potential candidates and facilitate the recruiting and hiring process. May assist with scheduling and conducting interviews.
• Manages employee relations issues and conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations and recommendations.
• Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
• Provides HR policy and labor contract guidance and interpretation.
• Provides administrative support to Human Resources functions as needed (e.g., generate correspondence, record keeping, filing, scheduling meetings)
• Schedules and delivers new employee orientation and onboarding activities. Manages off-boarding activities.
• Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs and policies.
• Identifies training needs and develops plans to address skill gaps.
• Maintains knowledge of company benefits programs and provides guidance to employees. Assists with coordinating benefits meetings and events.
• Participate in the implementation and maintenance of HRIS and timekeeping systems, and providing basic guidance on payroll questions.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor s degree in HR or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant HR generalist experience, with a minimum of 2 years working in a manufacturing, unionized environment
• Experience working in a fast-paced and changing environment
• SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR a plus

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, labor relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
• Demonstrated ability to establish key relationships with managers and deliver effective outcomes
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality working with highly sensitive information
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proficient in MS Office and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) systems (e.g. Core HRIS systems, Applicant Tracking Systems)
