Here at innocent, we want to continue growing at pace and do this in the right way for the planet. We’ve been on a journey over the past couple of years, starting the revolution to our core bits of technology and all of the processes we use with the intention to make sure our business runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible as it grows.

We’re coming to the end of our biggest ever change programme after implementing an ERP and PLM solution and we need some brilliant people to continue the ongoing transformation, to make sure we’re supporting the running of our day to day operation and to ensure we stick to our goals of keeping things simple as our business evolves over the coming years.

We’re a small but perfectly formed team of business analysts and solution architects obsessed with doing the right thing for innocent, in the right way and passionate about bringing our key users along with us.

A bit about the role*

We have an opportunity for a apprentice to join our business operations team, on the finance and supply platform. The role is an exciting one; you’ll be at the heart of making sure our newly revamped financial processes and systems are running smoothly, working with the Finance teams to understand what they are trying to achieve and translating that into well architected changes to our systems. As well as working on continuous improvement projects, there is also an opportunity to be part of the design and implementation of a new Supplier Collaboration Platform. The role also includes taking responsibility for creating an environment where the team can deliver effectively. This is a role that covers our global business and as such you’ll be working across our entire user base, from the UK, to Europe to Asia and beyond…

Your main responsibilities will be: *

• Thoroughly analysing and documenting our current financial processes – you’ll be getting a full understanding of our processes and will, in time, be the person who inputs on finance process changes
• Gathering information to determine business requirements – working those relationships to make sure we’re doing the right stuff at the right time and managing expectations as such with our key functional stakeholders
• Continually looking to improve ways of working, mainly in finance but also across the whole finance and supply platform team
• Working closely with other transformation initiatives to ensure a joined-up approach to designing new stuff
• Managing testing and deployment of upgrades and changes / fixes as needed
• Understanding the overarching technology stack (what we use) and feeding into (and in some cases owning) our planning schedule for upgrades, enhancements, fixes and changes
• Providing support to the team with reports and data
• Supporting the project team with the design and implementation of a new Supplier Collaboration Platform

What’s even better about this role is what the future holds – a qualification, on and off the job learning. We think it’s the perfect start to a career in Technology. Once your apprenticeship training officially kicks off, you’ll spend 20% of your time studying towards your IT Business Analyst– level 4 qualification. This will be through a mix of e-learning; tutor sessions, and workshops. You’ll also have the opportunity to get involved in other projects and internal innocent training to help you develop further.

you’ll have
It’s okay if you don’t have any experience in the world of Technology, we’ll train you up with all you need to know, but it’ll really tip the scales in your favour if you can show us;

• A strong desire to pursue a career in technology
• The smarts – that critical thinking to make good decisions when it counts, process lots of ideas and data (using excel + other tools) to arrive at simple and effective solutions
• An entrepreneurial approach – not waiting to be told, taking action, joining the dots and giving things a go. All while working through setbacks and staying positive when facing challenges
• A growth mindset – to take on feedback, look for opportunities to develop and seeking to understand the why. The ability to see things through to completion and not miss a detail along the way
• Great relationship building skills – the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships both within innocent and outside of it
• The cherry on top would be some knowledge of finance – the know-how and understanding of how accounting works and how an ERP system manages the financial transactions needed to run an operation

We also need to follow apprenticeship guidelines, so you’ll need;

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs A*- C, including Maths and English (4 or above in the new GCSE scales) and a Level 3 qualification, including A levels, NVQ/SVQ Level 3, or a BTEC National
• Work rights for the UK for the duration of your apprenticeship, be a citizen of the UK or European Economic Area (EEA), and have lived in the UK or EEA for the past 3 consecutive years

you’ll get
As one of apprentice you will be based in London and expected to spend 4 days working. Then you’ll spend one day a week (on average), in workshops or completing work towards your apprenticeship. We’ll spend time coaching and supporting you.

This is a fixed-term role for 20/24 month (depending on the time it takes to complete your apprenticeship). Salary: £21,500 per annum. An estimated start date is the 1st December.

As well as the standard stuff you get for turning up for work, we have some great clubs, a free breakfast and as many smoothies as you can shake a stick at.
