Inlet Coastal Resort Hiring for Executive Chef/Assistant Culinary Director Full Time

At Inlet Coastal Resort, our Executive Chef/Food Assistant DIrector is responsible ensuring all meals served to residents and their guests in our assisted living and memory care communities meet and/or exceed their expectations. The Executive Chef leads a team to deliver high-quality, delicious and nutritious food while meeting proper food safety, sanitation, and profitability goals.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation, presentation and quality of food.
• Hire, train, manage and develop food preparation staff and kitchen utility workers/dishwashers; determine work schedules and work assignments.
• Responsible for inventory control and purchasing (e.g., food, equipment, supplies) in accordance with the budget.
• Handling foods in accordance with sanitary procedures and Sunrise quality service standards and compliance with all federal, state, local regulatory procedures regarding food production and presentation

Qualifications:

• Certification and/or College Degree in Culinary Arts
• Minimum three 2 years experience as a Chef or Kitchen Manager
• Two (2) years supervisory and management experience including hiring staff, coaching, performance management daily operations supervision, discipline and counseling
• SERVSafe certification preferred
• Ability to handle multiple priorities, delegate assignments to the appropriate individuals based on their skills, roles and interests
• Written and verbal skills for effective communication and the ability to facilitate small group presentations
• Competent in organizational, time management skills
• Demonstrate good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
• Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications
• Ability to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours

Pay: $46,000.00 – $56,000.00 per year
