Infracon Hiring for Class 1 Driver Full Time

Summary:

Looking for qualified Class 1 Drivers with a variety of driving experience driving Tri Drive Trucks and Tridem Ponies.

LOA Paid for out of town drivers.

Company pickup included for crew transportation.

Responsibilities:

• Full time work
• Load/unload and deliver freight
• Get accurate piece counts and ensure the right product gets delivered to each location
• Get all paperwork signed upon delivery/get paperwork for all outbound shipments
• Load returns and casings from stores back to warehouses and retread plants
• Complete inspections on equipment and notify supervisor of all defects
• Operate equipment in a safe manner in accordance with all local laws and regulations

Requirements:

• Make safety a priority when on the road
• Experience driving in Canadian Winters.
• Sufficient mechanical ability to troubleshoot and make minor repairs to equipment and vehicle
• Prior experience in safe operation and loading of heavy construction machinery
• Able to operate equipment to self-load on a regular basis
• Must be confident in driving automatic or manual
• Full understanding of load securement and transport heavy construction machinery
• Complete necessary paperwork, including accurate logbooks, inspection log book and records of cargo
• Perform preventative maintenance (greasing and washing truck)
• Represent company in a professional manner when dealing with clients and law enforcement
• Able to maintain deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Must be available to work extended hours and occasionally work weekends
• Ability to take direction and work as a part of a team
• Willingness to work out of town

Safety Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 non-restricted driver’s license and clean driver abstract
• Completion of Corporate and site-specific Orientations
• Drug and Alcohol testing, as required
• Safety certifications (First Aid, CSTS, etc.) considered an asset
• Basic PPE to be supplied by the worker are boots, hardhat and glasses. Infracon will provide any specialized PPE.
• Operate 2-way radio

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $35.00-$38.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

• Overtime pay
