Our People Services directorate is responsible for an ambitious agenda of people programmes to support the organisational development and capability of the ICO as a service provider, regulator and employer. About the role*
Reporting to the Director of People and Workforce Planning and with overall responsibility for the development and delivery of the Resourcing Strategy for ICO, you will lead a team of talent professionals to shape, build and implement our strategic approach to talent management.
As a member of the People Services leadership team, you will work closely with colleagues to anticipate, determine and understand the current and future capacity and capability requirements needed to enable the ICO to deliver its strategic objectives.
Fostering an insights-driven approach to talent discovery and sourcing, you will drive operational excellence across the talent function to deliver a candidate experience which results in quality resourcing and selection choices, and diverse, quality hires that both deliver in the roles to which they have been recruited as well as having potential for future growth.

About you*
With a background of talent acquisition within a global / matrixed environment, you’ll have significant experience of developing and executing innovative and compelling approaches to talent attraction aligned to wider organisational values, ambition and strategy.
Whilst your experience in successfully implementing branding and marketing initiatives will position the ICO as a great place to work and a top quartile employer, you will use your experience in sourcing niche and / or scarce and targeted skills to build candidate pools and succession pipelines that anticipate and mitigate risk, and respond to the ever changing technological environment in which the ICO operates.
With experience creating and executing a creative, metrics-driven, service-oriented talent and workforce planning service, you will motivate, nurture and harness the skills and potential within your own team to support individual career aspirations, drive service quality and realise measurable business impact.
