This is an in-person position.

The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for hospital compliance and submitting claims.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Interact with internal departments such as Customer Service, Medical Management, Configuration, Contracting, Claims, and Provider Relations, as well as providers and other external entities, to process provider disputes efficiently and appropriately.
• Receiving, processing, and filing all the paperwork that comes into the office
• Preparing accounts receivable transactions and processing customer payments
• Preparing and mailing invoices to customers
• Monitoring accounts and incoming payments
• Verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivable data
• Resolving clients’ billing issues and questions
• Administrative duties include filing, data entry, printing, mailing documents, and more.
• Ensure revenue integrity
• Maintain CDI process
• Access EHR systems to pull medical records as required.
• Responsible for charge capture
• Other departmental Ad Hoc Payment Integrity functions

SKILLS & EDUCATION:   

• Understanding of Medicare and Medicaid billing rules.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software.
• 1-2 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical EHR systems is preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Basic math proficiency
