TITLE: IT Security Patching Manager Location: REMOTE Salary – $130,000-140,000K + bonus What You’ll Do: ​​​​​

• The Patching & Vulnerability Manager is a key technology expert with strategic responsibility for the technical and operational results of Patch and Vulnerability Remediation Management. The Vulnerability and Patch Management Manager will play a leading role in driving information security analysis and vulnerability remediation. This position will report to the Director of Operations. This role is a key business enabler to provide information security risk analysis and strategic recommendations for the ongoing improvement of Information Security. This person will manage a team of operations engineering resources responsible for software and security patching & vulnerability remediation of company desktop, server, telecom and network assets.

Skills / Experience You Will Need: Responsibilities

• Manage the security vulnerabilities and risks across the US including identifying, supporting application/system owners to manage risks and remediate vulnerabilities
• Analyze server and workstation policies and configurations and evaluate compliance with regulations and enterprise directives
• Provide leadership hands-on technical direction for engineering staff to deliver problem, solution, tactical, and break-fix capability
• Work closely with both business-oriented executives and leads technology-oriented personnel to ensure adequate processes are in place and actions are being taken to mitigate identified risks proactively
• Maintain appropriate management reporting mechanisms to facility communication of the program status across multiple levels within the organization
• Identify Gaps between patch management system and Business related applications and programs that require upkeep
• Work with the Security team to provide feedback and guidance on how to utilize Qualys for best outcome
• Schedule daily and weekly assignments with engineering team and ensure the CAB process is effectively used
• Investigates problems, escalates as needed to other departments, divisions and vendors to find appropriate solutions to issues and customer request

Required

• Bachelor’s degree or 5-10 years relevant work experience
• 3-5 years of experience in IT security work focused on patching and vulnerability remediation
• 10 years of experience in large IT Systems Program Management and/or project management of large scale implementations
• Strong Communication skills, including reporting and KPI metrics generation
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to lead cross functional teams (both engineering and Business application teams)
• Goal oriented with excellent documentation and organizational skills
• Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
• Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
• Technically familiar and or experienced with managing various security and patching software programs, such as Microsoft SCCM, Qualys, McAfee EPO, SolarWinds, Ivanti
