The Information Technology Risk Management Unit (ITRMU) provides First Line-of-Defense Risk Management support for the technology dept. ITRMU conducts Information Technology and Information Security risk assessments within the New York Branch of Mizuho Bank. Some of the assessments performed by ITRMU include technology risk, cyber risk, application criticality, application controls, infrastructure controls, and project and risk exception assessments.

The position to be filled is for an IT Project Manager. Summary IT Project Manager w ill be responsible for project managing various IT projects to identify project risks and how these risks w ill be mitigated by the project team. Additionally, as a Project Manager, to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and in accordance to the business requirements; w rite process; procedure; run book; FAQ, etc. documents; test plan/test scripts; ad hoc reporting to management, etc. Looking for a hands-on Project Manager (not one that only manages to timeline/budget). Expert know ledge and understanding of IT SDLC is required and have a minimal of 5-year experience in IT softw are development in the financial industry (aka banking institution or investment bank). Must have working know ledge of operational bank processes and correlate them w ith impact should an operational process fail.

Responsibilities Key responsibilities include: • Ensure project and task deliverable dates are met on time • Identify risks and critical paths on the project; track them and facilitate w ith the team to mitigate these risks • Perform business analysis to document business requirements • Write test scripts and perform QA testing • Provide root cause analysis, along w ith conclusion on production issues • Prepare documentation on processes such as, but not limited to manuals, flow charts, FAQ, run book • Advance Excel user • Provide appropriate information share and updates w ith senior management and other key stakeholders • Schedule meetings w ith stakeholders, prepare agendas, distribute post meeting minutes and follow up on action items

Skills

Qualifications • Minimum of 5 years track record of delivery of major IT finance initiatives at large and complex financial institutions, hands-on Project Manager • Working in Banking or Investment Banking industry; know ledge in banking products and their operational workflows (i.e. how banking products are processed) • Solid understanding of project life cycle (SDLC) • Superior communication skills: both w ritten and oral w ith technical and non-technical staff. Able to articulate issues clearly and succinctly; w illingness to escalate issues w here needed • Advanced user of Excel • Self-starter is necessary, able to w ork w ith limited instructions. Be able to w ork w ith agility due to change in directions w ithout impacting to the delivery date • Strong business, analytical, quantitative, problem-solving and decision making skills • One year experience performing QA testing • Bachelor Degree. PMP not required, but preferred • Tolerance and understanding of multiple cultures • Know ledgeable in using Archer, SeviceNow , VISIO, Pow erPoint, Word • Able to think ‘out of the box’ and w ork efficiently • Completes administrative tasks on a timely basis
