Job Title: CSR HealthCare Team Lead

Note: Must have recent Healthcare/ Health Claims/ Health Plan Experience. The candidate must have supervisor / team lead experience in a call center dealing with healthcare.

Job Description

Under the supervision of the Manager, the Team Leader & Specialist is responsible for providing support, direction and supervision to Customer support representative. This position also monitors and supervises various processes throughout the claims cycle and may take calls as required.. This position also assists with various internal tasks that ensure a high level of overall client satisfaction.

Essential Functions

• Collaborate with the Claims Manager
• Monitor calls
• inventory status daily
• Oversee the receipt and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail
• Assists team with providing claim or Plan status for client inquiries
• Develop and review performance s
• Provide timely performance feedback
• Facilitate department training and department meetings
• Assist in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures and workflow processes related to department
• Review and approve time cards and PTO requests
• Maintain adequate staffing levels to support the claims department
• Assist in the identification and selection of new employees
• Assist with creating and updating all job descriptions related to positions within department
• To ensure that Team managers are available and at no point in time the floor lacks supervision
• Understanding of company policies and procedures and effectively applying the same
• Absenteeism and attrition Management
• Good interpersonal skills & people management skills, including the ability deal with people from a wide range of professionalism as the role requires dealing with various levels across the organization.

• Communicates clearly and concisely, with sensitivity to the needs of others
• Maintains the confidentiality of all company procedures, results, and information about participants, clients, providers and employees

Supervisory Responsibility: Provides supervision for assigned remote Customer support team..

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 4 year of supervisory experience in a health plan setting preferred
• Prior customer service experience is required. Two years of professional work experience in a health plan call center is strongly preferred.
• Understanding of the claims process, along with a thorough understanding of invoices and inventory
• Effective organizational, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to understand issues, demonstrates resourcefulness, and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
• Ability to serve as a champion for the TRHC 32 Fundamentals
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and communicate effectively
• Ability to demonstrate good judgment and have excellent critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships co-workers.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Ability to prioritize effectively
• Ability to consistently multitask
