Inductosense Ltd Hiring for Backend Software Engineer Job at Bristol, England Full Time

Inductosense develops and manufactures novel sensing, IoT and robotics technology for monitoring corrosion and other defects in structures. We have technology deployed across 14 countries and are scaling up the company.

We now have a role for Backend Software Engineer as part of our product development team. You will be working as part of a tight knit multi-disciplined team:

• Developing applications software to communicate with and control Inductosense IoT devices in the field
• Developing new software to enable measurements to be taken using robotic vehicles such as crawlers and drones
• Supporting the Applications Team to deal with software related enquiries
• Working with customers to develop and deploy software for their applications

This role will be focused on the backend – a mixture of writing C# code to interface with embedded devices and working with our front-end engineer to develop and maintain an internal API.

Required knowledge

• C#, .NET and Entity Framework
• Experience writing applications software to interface with embedded end products
• A good understanding of embedded system design at the API level – things like wireless comms, over the air firmware update and encryption/authentication

Good to have skills:

• Git
• SQL
• Docker

The role can mostly be done remotely, but there will be a need to come into the office in Bristol at the start and also regularly to meet with the team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £52,000.00 per year
