Individual FoodService Hiring for Router Operator at Bell, CA Full Time

Description:

The Router Operator works closely with the centralized dispatch department and operations team to provide the best outcome to routes within our company. In addition, a router is responsible for creating routes that adhere to hours of service.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for the implementation of all routing processes for their assigned areas.
• Logistics Router exercises discretion and independent judgment concerning routing solutions.
• Routing of all legitimate customer orders in the most efficient way possible for multiple shipping facilities while under constant time and accuracy constraints while adhering to established procedures, protocols, and customer commitments.
• Willingness to expand expertise, knowledge, and skills for routing software.
• Assists managers needs efficiently.
• Utilizing specified software, route trucks by matching customer orders to appropriate loads assigned to trucks.

• Perform routing clerical duties in an effective manner.
• Meets productivity standards and completes work in a timely manner.
• Performs safety and security procedures.
• s on potentially unsafe conditions.

Requirements:

• related experience (transportation routing, scheduling, or logistics)
• Prior experience with routing software.
• Strong analytical skills and effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent Planning and organization skills.
• Able to apply good judgment in a fast-paced and quick changing environment, while managing multiple tasks, and maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
