Summary

INdigital is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to assist with the back end engineering of our 9-1-1 management applications. We’re looking to expand our team with an individual who strives for code quality and scalable systems engineering.

The candidate will be expected to work in a highly-collaborative team environment. Cross-functional team work will be necessary as well. Effective communication skills will be critical to succeed in this role.

The candidate will primarily work on developing, engineering, and improving the company’s dashboard and tooling back ends. Development and engineering input in other products should be expected as needs arise.

Duties

• Develop, Test and implement software applications and assist with the development of the front ends.
• Create new testing scenarios to improve software quality.
• Maintain/migrate the current (young) codebase.
• Engineer new backend services.
• Manage software under Linux environments.
• Occasional out-of-hours work will be required.
• As a senior engineer, you will need to contribute to architecture discussions, technical decision-making, and develop leadership skills within small teams.
• Interface with business partners on product integration.
• Document projects and APIs for technical stakeholders.

Requirements

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience in Redhat-based environments.
• 7 years of experience developing REST APIs and back ends.
• Strong familiarity with AAA (Authentication, Authorization, Accounting) and their application in software backends.
• Experience working with container technologies.
• Leadership traits.

Recommended:

• Knowledge of the SIP protocol.
• Experience as a team leader.
• Development experience in Python, Go, C# or C++.
• Experience supporting Multi-tenant Web Applications.
• Front end experience is a strong plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
