QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS :

The qualifications and skill requirements for this position include :

Associate’s degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources OR a combination of education with a minimum of two (2) years of proven work experience in a Human Resources Department;

Bachelor’s degree highly preferred

• Previous Human Resources Information System (HRIS) experience; Experience using Workday highly preferred
• Proven experience with full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, networking, screening and negotiation; aptitude to interact with all levels of academic and administrative leadership;
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Windows based applications, with specific expertise and knowledge in Microsoft Office Excel;
• Ability to communicate (verbal and written), interact, and work effectively and cooperatively with all people and embrace cultural diversity;
• Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; self-directed with the ability to work as a strategist, both collaboratively or individually;
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and accuracy; ability to effectively manage multiple priorities;
• General knowledge of HR functions and employment laws, guidelines, and procedures.
• The following is preferred :
• Prior experience in higher education
• Proficiency with the Workday system

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

The Talent Acquisition Partner will assess hiring needs, make recommendations on hiring practices and utilize creative strategies that elicit interest in employment opportunities at Indian River State College.

This individual is responsible for identifying and hiring credentialed faculty and staff, while creating an unparalleled candidate experience.

The Talent Acquisition Partner will also sustain and advance the College’s diversity recruitment strategy and consistently deliver upon best practices for search and selection in a higher education environment.

This position s to the Talent Acquisition Manager.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

The specific duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to :

• Serving as liaison to job applicants and new hires;
• Assisting job applicants and full-time faculty with the new hire process;
• Assisting applicants in person, by telephone, or by e-mail with the IRSC employment application and new hire process
• Works directly with hiring managers by educating, advising and consulting;
• In consultation with the Talent Acquisition Manager, conducts cyclical planning meetings with Deans, Vice-Presidents, and Faculty to meet current and projected faculty and staff talent needs;
• Reviews applicant qualifications, and provides recommendations that support strategic hiring decisions; creates presentations to convey recommendations to hiring managers and search committees;
• Communicates frequently with active and passive candidates, and conducts informal interviews;
• Screen candidates by reviewing resumes and job applications, and performing phone screenings
• Posting job openings on social media sites
• Conducting job fairs at various campus to increase candidate pool
• Ensuring all required new hire documentation is properly tracked and entered into Workday accordingly;
• Source candidates using a variety of search methods to build a robust candidate pipeline
• Corresponding by email and telephone with the applicants throughout the new hire process to ensure onboarding is completed in a timely manner;
• Validating new hire credentials to ensure compliance of required documentation for skills, experience, education, and certification data
• Perform reference checks as need
• Review HR system semi-annual releases and work with ES to test the possible impact of the releases
• Creating and maintaining Workday Job Aids for Workday Talent;
• Ensuring no access to personal health information (PHI) unless specifically authorized by the Vice President of Human Resources;
• Completing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Talent Acquisition Manager.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

This position requires an ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, reach up, stoop, and carry items occasionally in excess of twenty-five (25 ) pounds.

It al so requires manual dexterity to operate standard office machines, such as, copier, fax, calculator, telephone, and other equipment as necessary.
