Independent Practice Partners Hiring for Ophthalmology Billing Specialist at Remote Full Time

We are Independent Practice Partners, a company specializing in starting medical ophthalmology practices across the nation. We are looking to grow out management team!

This position is for a remote (work from home) position

We are looking for a part time or full time biller to take on multiple tasks:
– General training and guidance for the front desk staff in Practice Management, Insurance Verification and obtaining Prior Authorizations.

– Daily submission of claims to insurance companies, posting EOBs or ERAs, processing claim denials, completing necessary insurance claim appeals and making insurance phone calls when needed.

– Knowledge of how to navigate insurance portals such as Availity, UHC Provider, NaviNet, Optum Pay, etc.

– Monthly review of the office’s aging claims and claims investigation along with following up with insurance companies to ensure prompt payment.

– Previous experience with modernizing medicine practice management preferred, but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 – $24.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
