Your Job

As a Senior Software Engineer at Indeed for our billing platform, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining new systems that allow Indeed to sell its portfolio of employer-facing premium products more effectively. This is a product group in which you will have significant autonomy to choose the technologies appropriate to build these systems as well as influence the direction and operation of the team.

You will apply your previous experience to translate business requirements for new product features to incremental deliverables and design and build the data stores, APIs, and UI components necessary to implement them.


Who You Are


Requirements

  • Minimum of a BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a closely related computer technical field with 5+ years experience programming with at least one of the following languages: Java, Python,C# or C++
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience building applications using at least one of the following: web application technologies including: HTML, CSS, or Javascript; OR Databases, for example: Mysql, Mongo, or a similar program; OR a collection of systems connected and communicating via a network connection
  • Minimum 1 year of experience mentoring more junior Engineers
  • Experience conducting and leading code reviews
  • Significant experience with large scale, high-performance systems

Desired Skills

  • Working knowledge of service-oriented and event-driven system architectures
  • Thrive on simplifying complex information
  • Working knowledge of ReST, GraphQL, RPC, and JSON
  • Demonstrated use of Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ, or other messaging frameworks
  • Working knowledge of AWS services

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.


Salary Range Transparency

US Remote 132,000 – 192,000 USD per year
