The role

As the Senior Finance Business Partner your role is to improve business performance/efficiencies and growth through the provision of timely and accurate accounting information and advice which supports the Ammonium Phosphates Value Chain, encompassing the Phosphate Hill and Mt Isa site operations and Global Manufacturing business unit. You will also provide support to the Manufacturing Financial Controller in providing sound financial management advice to the Asia Pacific Manufacturing Leadership Team.

Your role will include but not limited to:
Manage and provide finance support to Mt Isa and Phosphate Hill with input to Corporate:

Critical review of Capital Expenditure proposals for responsible areas to ensure proposals meet strict IPL financial hurdles i.e RONA, IRR and NPV

Play a leadership role in developing and executing key profit improvement initiatives

Develop and enhance business compliance within Operations team and ensure processes are consistent with internal control requirements by liaising with both internal and external corporate auditors and Group Controller to monitor and eliminate areas of control weaknesses

Lead in development and production of annual budgets and forecasts for Northern Operations, driving to and communicating agreed outcomes.

Advise Operations Managers on financial aspects of operations process and actively promote value of management accounting information in Operations decision making process

About you:
The ideal candidate will ideally come from a manufacturing environment preferably within chemicals or mining. You will have two direct reports and you will need strong partnering skills to collaborate with our two sites being Mt Isa and Phosphate Hill. This person will sit on the North Australian Operations Leadership team. Technically, standout candidates will have strong financial modelling capability, knowledge of key cost drivers within manufacturing and advanced SAP knowledge (PA, CCA, Fixed Assets, Product Costing)
