Inch By Inch is excited to announce an opportunity for a Child Care Center Assistant Director. We are an independent, family-owned early childhood program serving 100 children from Infant through Pre-K. Our school has been operating in Bedford for over 25 years, with an excellent reputation in the local community.

We are seeking Director II certified applicants with 3-5 years of experience working as a Center Director. Our ideal candidate should be kind, and compassionate, have strong leadership skills, and have the ability to make personal connections with our families. Inch By Inch is located in the Bedford/Burlington technology hub and has on-site parking.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with managing day-to-day operations to provide a positive and safe learning environment for children
• Ensure the facilities comply with EEC regulations
• Ensure proper compliance with center policies and handbooks
• Assist with managing and supporting teaching staff with a strong emphasis on classroom support and professional development
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training new staff members ensuring proper credentials and alignment with the center’s mission, goals, and values
• Communicate and partner with parents regarding the child’s progress and overall growth and development
• Ensure a positive culture for families, children, and staff

Requirements:

• 3-5 years experience as a director of a licensed Early Education program
• At least an Associate’s degree in a related field is required, Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree preferred
• Director II EEC Certification is required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Computer literacy required (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times.

Salary

$52,000 Annually
