Position Summary:

The Insurance Verification Specialist is responsible for obtaining accurate Physical Therapy benefits on behalf of our clients. Explain benefits and coverage to our patients and or approved point of contact prior to their first appointment. Be the Insurance expert for the patient, understand when authorization is required, and then enter all patient, insurance and authorizations into our EMR to ensure accurate and correct billing. Obtain, review, and request authorizations if applicable.

Daily Duties:

• Insurance verification for PT benefits for all new clients, reverifying benefits and eligibility for existing clients when plan year renews, and contacting clients with benefits.
• Accurately enter all patient information into EMR to ensure correct billing.
• Obtain, review and renew authorizations when applicable.
• Insurance Authorization & Referral Expiration Claims & Clinical issue .
• Assist billing department collecting patient and insurance payments as needed.

Qualifications:

• Insurance verification of benefits experience required 2-3 years
• Physical Therapy experience highly preferred but not required
• In lieu of PT experience if you have the drive, team spirit personality, desire to learn and make a difference in the lives of others, we will be happy to consider these qualities.
• If applicant is within 20 miles of corporate office located in Irvine, he/she must train at corporate office for 1 month with our billing manager before going fully remote.
• Must have good time management skills and know how to prioritize their work flow.
• Multi-task efficiently.
• Good phone etiquette and be comfortable and confident relaying insurance information over the phone.
• Must able to work as a team with all fellow employees

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour
