Imperial College London Hiring for I-X Education Lead Job at South Kensington, England Full Time

I-X is a new initiative that that spans all four Faculties at Imperial College and provides a new co-located collaborative environment for research, education, and entrepreneurship across artificial intelligence, data science and digital technologies based at our White City Campus.

As Education Lead you will undertake teaching and development opportunities to support the work of I-X. The role is to develop, manage, and execute the planning process of new educational programmes in the I-X initiative and connect them to the College Learning & Teaching strategy.

We are therefore seeking to appoint an expert instructor with demonstrated capacity for academic programme development, innovative design and excellent delivery of cross-disciplinary programmes and courses.

Duties and responsibilities

Reporting to the I-X Co-Director (Education) you will play an essential role in coordinating and developing curriculum, leading on the development, project management and coordination of a new cross-college concentration, short course or degree programme launched by 2022/ 2023.

You will have responsibility for supporting the I-X leadership in the development and communication of the academic vision and strategy for the I-X educational activities.

Essential requirements

You will need a PhD in a relevant area and experience of courses related to Entrepreneurship, Management, Strategy, Change and Technology. In addition, you will have relevant significant experience of curriculum development in a research, higher education or policy environment.

This role will act as a key interface with multiple stakeholders within and outside the College and will need strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with senior academics, and you must have experience of managing multiple, complex, inter-disciplinary projects.

This post is offered as a fixed term 3 year appointment to build the I-X activities. It is envisaged as a part time role although there may be some flexibility in this for the right candidate.
