Imperial College London Hiring for Finance Administrator Job at South Kensington, England Full Time

Imperial College Union is looking for an experienced Finance Administrator to support the Finance Team by accurately and efficiently processing financial transactions and maintaining financial controls.

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and highly organised individual with exceptional attention to detail and experience preparing monthly reconciliations of assigned accounts.

You will play a vital role in the planning and recording of financial transactions across the organisation for over 370 student-run clubs, societies and projects.

Duties and responsibilities

The full requirements are set out in the Job Description and Person Specification. However, we’d like to particularly highlight the following as important:

• To review and process all financial documentation including supplier invoices and expense claims, in accordance with the established financial procedures and protocols
• To ensure payments and remittance advices are dispersed accurately and in a timely manner, and provide timely and accurate payment information as required
• To identify sources of income into the Union’s bank accounts and reconcile these to the ledger
• To support the reconciliation of the Union’s bank accounts, resolving all non-timing differences and accurately identifying and posting any outstanding differences.
• To undertake tasks and responsibilities in a way that provides excellent customer service and prioritises the student experience

Essential requirements

• Part-qualified CCAB or CIMA Accounting Qualification or extensive experience operating at a similar level
• Experience of interpreting, presenting, and gaining value from financial data
• Significant experience of balance sheet reconciliations
• Significant experience of General Ledger and financial systems
