Imperial College London Hiring for Education Administrator Job at Brompton, South East England, England Full Time

The National Heart and Lung Institute (NHLI) is seeking to appoint an Education Administrator to support its MSc/ PGDip/ PGCert Genomic Medicine.

NHLI’s main aims are to carry out research and education in Cardiovascular and Respiratory basic and clinical science. NHLI is committed to the development and delivery of excellent education and training at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The education team is responsible for implementing, administering and supporting the Institute’s education and outreach activities, undertaken in line with the College’s strategy for education.

Duties and responsibilities

You will support an excellent student experience and help NHLI’s academic and teaching staff to deliver a world-class education in Genomic Medicine through responsibilities including:

• Day to day administrative support to the programme team
• Acting as the first point of contact for students, teachers, and the Faculty Education Office, Registry or Graduate School as appropriate for all enquiries relating to the programme.
• Servicing committees, including arranging and minuting meetings, booking rooms and refreshments.
• Coordinating the assessment of students, including collection and distribution of exam scripts, overseeing the marking process, recording marks and liaising with the Faculty Education Office as necessary.
• Liaison with programme partners (Institute of Cancer Research, Brunel)
• Liaison with the other Genomic Medicine MSc providers in the HEE network

Essential requirements

You will be educated to GCSE, A-level (or equivalent) or above. You will have experience of working in administration, preferably in a similar role within Higher Education. You must be able to work well within a team environment, have enthusiasm for education and be willing to learn new skills.

This is a full-time and open-ended post, based at Royal Brompton Campus. Due to the nature of the role, the post involves periods of high activity with some flexible working required.
