Medical Education and Medical Sub-Speciality (Gastroenterology)

We are looking for post-CMT (MRCP holders) doctors to join an innovative fellowship for a period of training of 12 months (from Sept / October 2021) prior to taking up a higher specialty physician training.
The post will support gastroenterology specialty trainees to allow them to enter immersive endoscopy training. The clinical fellows will gain skills and experience in general medicine, with a 60:40 split to develop their management, leadership and quality improvement work. Fellows will work across the sites at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
Fellows will be based on the gastroenterology team and have the opportunity to gain general medicine experience as well as gastroenterology, HPB and liver.
Fellows will have an Educational Supervisor to help them develop a Quality Improvement Project (QIP) project alongside the clinical work and experience.
There is potential for the experience to count towards IMT3 training with negotiation.
