Impact Talent Recruitment has partnered with a reputable Australian owned and operated company, seeking a skilled Assistant Accountant to join the Finance team of this well-known and trusted organisation. Both supporting and ing directly to the Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in the finance team.

This is full-time permanent position with a salary of $85,000 + Super based in their Geelong office onsite. This opportunity offers career progression and a long-term succession plan to Financial Controller. Ideally you will have experience within the manufacturing and industrial sectors.

Responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of accurate BAS s across all entities
• Manage the Asset Register and associated depreciation schedules
• Entry of financing transactions
• Reconcile bank accounts for all entities
• Maintain Loans and Commitments schedules.
• Review data import into Xero software for correct coding
• Review of expenses to identify cost saving measures
• Liaise with personal across entities to ensure all intercompany loan and trading accounts reconcile.
• Work with the Finance Manager to create a robust cashflow forecasting tool
• Oversee company credit card reconciliation processes and ensure required reconciliation s are completed

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities/tasks at any one time
• Excellent communication skills. both verbal & written
• Ability to multi-task, work efficiently, accurately and meet deadlines
• Xero experience is essential
• The right to work in Australia
