A bit about our science: we are developing a new line of immunotherapies with the aim of transforming treatment of cancer, infection and autoimmune disease. You will be joining Immunocore at the most exciting time in our 20-year history, with our first drug application accepted in the UK, US and EU.Immunocore is a late-stage biotechnology company pioneering the development of a novel class of TCR bispecific immunotherapies designed to treat a broad range of diseases, including cancer, infection, and autoimmune disease.

We have built large in-house datasets of Next generation sequencing data. We have an opening to join our team and help us understand, organise, analyse and explore this data in close collaboration with other scientists.

The post holder should be enrolled in a degree in the life sciences, with some understanding of software development principles and workflows, problem-solving, attention to detail, oral communication, and the ability to work collaboratively will be highly valued. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated scientist to gain valuable skills and industrial experience in both software development and the field of cancer immunology.

Key Responsibilities

• Organise and prepare the database systems, architecture and models to host data
• Liaise with several teams to make sure system is fit for purpose
• Perform analysis on data to boost further research
• Regularly report analyses using presentations and web apps to other scientists for discussion.
• Communicate effectively and regularly to gain feedback and direction from scientists and stakeholders.
• A willingness to learn and work within a team of 4 members to ensure high standards are met at all stages

Education & Qualification

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in biological or life sciences.
• A Levels in at least one of Maths/Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Computer Science

Important information for all applicants

Closing date for all applications will be 6th April 2022 and initial phone interviews will commence, shortly after that in early April 2022. Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to participate in site assessment Centre on either 25th or 26th April . This will give you a chance to meet our current Interns, learn more about what you will do but most importantly socialize with our employees and enjoy few snacks on the day !

It is anticipated Internships will start 1st August 2022.
