Independent Medical Group, LLC (IMG) specializes in the testing, treatment, and management of HIV, Hepatitis C, and Sexually Transmitted Diseases. Co-founders Clifford W. Knights and Steve Vixamar have built a partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to level the playing field for all high-risk Americans, no matter their race, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status. IMG offers an array of services, including healthcare and pharmacy services, case management, mental health, and substance abuse management. In the role of Controller you will report directly to the CEO and COO. You will operate the accounting department fiscally, operationally, and administratively compliant to the state, federal and government standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee all IMG’s accounting operations.

• Responsible for the overall day-to-day accounting functions and provides leadership and decision making to the fiscal team and organization.

• Manage Billing, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.

• Identify accounting and financial issues and suggest timely solutions.

• Support month-end and year-end close process.

• Manage quality control over financial transactions and reporting.

• Prepare and provide various schedules and documents requested for various audits.
• Manage the budgeting, forecasting and analytics.

• Produce Financial statements as requested.

• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.

• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

• Keep up to date on the financial markets to understand how to maximize profits and find expansion areas.

• Monitor a company’s financial reports and determine ways to reduce costs.

• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Clinical Director.

OTHER DUTIES: COMPUTER EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE SKILL REQUIREMENT

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

• MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

• A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience with 340B Program
• Experience managing others

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• Certified Public Accounting Certificate (CPA)

• Experience in the healthcare industry
