Job Description

The Maintenance & Reliability Controls Engineer uses a hands-on approach, deploying knowledge and experience in automation, instrumentation, controls, VFDs, communications, (and preferably packaging) to support our flagship operations in Lompoc, California in meeting production and reliability goals.

Requirements:

• Support Electrical & Instrumentation team by helping develop this team’s technicians in maintaining and improving the plant’s engineered, installed control systems.
• Collaborate closely with other departments, including Engineering, in the development and execution of reliability improvement projects.
• Develop and facilitate execution of the maintenance team’s efforts toward a continuously-improving Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) program.
• Maximize asset reliability using the key components of a maintenance management system such as but not limited to: failure modes, and effects analysis (FMEA/FMECA), root cause failure analysis (RCFA), predictive testing and condition monitoring methodologies
• Manage all related and progress using the company’s computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) or enterprise asset manager (EAM), such as TabWare or SAP.
• Manage capital and expense engineering projects of varying scope & complexity where equipment or process reliability are the primary justification.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or chemical engineering, or other related technical field from an accredited university, or an equivalent, verified combination of education and experience Strong engineering skills (mechanical, electrical, industrial, materials, etc.)
• 2 to 5 years of experience in a heavy industrial environment
• Strong analytical skills drawing on professional experience and multiple sources and types of empirical data
• Well developed written and oral communication skills
• Good presentation skills
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and being a positive change agent

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $127,617.00 – $136,482.00 per year
