This 1.1 million-square-foot factory is currently in advanced stages of preparation in the Columbus, Ohio area. Job Summary:

We are currently looking for a Logistics Manager for our new factory in Columbus, Ohio, you will assume comprehensive responsibility for overseeing the logistics operations, encompassing both domestic and international transportation and customs. Your primary objective will be to guarantee the seamless fulfillment of company and customer requirements. In this pivotal role, you will provide leadership to a team of dedicated professionals and foster close collaboration with internal stakeholders from Production, Finance, Warehouse, Operations & Planning, and other relevant functions. Additionally, you will engage with external suppliers to optimize our logistical processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing logistic support and overseeing the overall logistic processes in support of the objectives of the organization.
• Strong international shipping knowledge and arrangement.
• Responsible for the planning, oversight, and management and coordination of logistics support operations to ensure smooth accomplishment of projects.
• Ensuring that all shipments are received on time and orders are delivered on time by following up with all parties ahead of time.
• HS codes validation.
• Managing processes that determine the best mode of transport and select the best carrier to meet the OTIF (on time in full) requirement for shipments.
• Handle the logistics, organization, and safety by adequately scheduling staff, 3PLs, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Responsible for prioritizing work orders and organizing tasks based on shipment/order deadlines to create a plan or time-table for the movement of orders, heavy haul shipment, drayage and light trucks; workforce and parts supply in compliance with the shipping requirements
• Responsible for the movement of materials to our warehouse and shipping of finished products to the end customer and coordinate with all concerned dept.
• Analyzing data to identify trends that may indicate a need for change within a company’s supply chain

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or logistics.
• Experience: Over 8 years of hands-on experience in import/export operations or a closely related field, demonstrating a deep understanding of the logistics industry.
• Software Proficiency: Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or related software, showcasing technological aptitude.
• Customs Compliance: In-depth knowledge of customs compliance regulations, ensuring adherence to legal and procedural requirements in import/export processes.
• Preferred Background: Previous experience as a freight forwarder would be advantageous, bringing valuable insights and skills to the role.
