Ilika (www.ilika.com) is a pioneer in solid state batteries. The company has developed miniature thin-film solid state batteries (Stereax) for Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications and is now developing large format solid-state cells (Goliath) for electric vehicles.

Due to expansion, we are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and driven Talent Acquisition Specialist to strengthen the HR team. You will have overall responsibility to provide an end to end recruitment service for the business. You should have a flexible approach to work and be able to work under pressure. Ilika is a fast moving business and requires you to be innovative and have the ambition to make it a great success.

Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for Ilika’s recruitment processes and procedures;
• Develop strong awareness and understanding of the business and functional areas to target and hire best talent;
• Work in partnership with hiring managers, providing guidance, support and recommendations on candidates for interview and hire to ensure “efficiency in time to hire” is maintained;
• Ensuring high level of accuracy within Ilika’s HR Management system;
• Have a good understanding of the candidate markets to provide guidance to the hiring managers on demographics and sourcing strategies;
• Source candidates using a variety of attraction methods e.g. LinkedIn, job boards, searches and build talent pools;
• Encourage awareness of internal referral programme;
• Conducting initial CV and first stage Teams screening;
• Negotiate salaries at offer stage;
• Provide a high level of candidate care and ensure frequent communication is deployed;
• Recommend, coordinate and participate in hiring events such as Job Fairs, external recruiting and other networking events;
• Build relationships with both local and national Universities who offer relevant Degrees to attract the highest calibre of candidate to the business, including attending Graduate Fairs;
• Produce communications to a high standard (e.g. advertisements);
• Production of data analysis and reports for internal stakeholders;
• Support the development of recruitment KPI’s in line with the business growth;

Job requirements:

• Demonstrable experience of working in a recruitment function, either in-house or in an agency, ideally technical recruitment;
• Experience in sourcing candidates through social media, headhunting, networking, and niche marketing channels;
• Understanding of legislation relevant to recruitment and an active interest in keeping up to date with best industry practice;
• Detail orientated and confident administering a large volume of activity;
• Ability to plan, prioritise own workload and to cope under pressure;
• Effectively communicate and influence at all levels within the company;
• Appreciation and ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion;
• Self-motivated and dependable with good communication skills;
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team.
