• Comprehensive understanding of the IKEA concept, brand identity, culture & values, and strategic directions
• Broad understanding of Ingka’s financial and operational processes (the interdependencies and how to manage them)
• Advanced knowledge of tools for accounting and reporting in SAP modules and system capabilities, functionalities and set up
• Good understanding of measuring, processing and communicating financial information in compliance with internal and external regulations and ensuring value for money in reaching business objectives and profitable growth
• Good understanding of Ingka’s accounting and financial reporting rules, standards and manuals along with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Good understanding of data science, analytics, data visualization tools and new technologies to secure a predictive and value-adding finance and accounting function
• Good understanding of procedures and tools for data management
• Good understanding of tax accounting, statutory and regulatory reporting as well as knowledge of how to provide support in an auditing process

Essential Requirements:

• Prior experience in accounts payable/receivable
• Part or Fully Qualified Accountant
• Previous experience in the general ledger, credit control, and accounting & reporting
• Excellent communications skills with strong telephone communication confidence
• Natural ability to prioritize your workload and multi-task
• Excellent problem-solving skills within an A&R Finance function
• Degree qualified finance

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reviewing issues in accounting and reporting operations and communicating to the stakeholders
• Ownership of the Income Statement and Balance Sheet. Including month end close and post month end Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Ensuring that all data is processed on time.
• Being a part of the global and local projects
• Supporting local execution to simplify, harmonize and automate financial operations and reporting
• Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure a smooth process and robust internal control environment.
• Maintaining and securing the right level of quality of accounting and reporting as a base for business steering and compliance
• Advising the team and Global Business Operations (GBO) on specific accounting and reporting questions with extra focus on local General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Support in various compliance tasks including VAT, ONS.
• Contributing to a safe environment for co-workers and external consultants and contractors in accordance with INGKA policies

This position is full time, you will work 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The Service Office principal location is Hybrid working a minimum of 8 days per calendar month in the office and the remainder flexibly working remotely at home.
