Your tasks : *

Responsible for shipment preparation of customer orders. Maintain a philosophy of continual improvement to increase consistency, efficiency and quality in all aspects of coordinating and arranging shipments.

• ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. *
• Request and obtain freight quotes.
• Post Goods Issue in SAP for all outgoing shipments, add tracking information
• Maintain HTS codes and ensure proper codes are attached to all international deliveries
• Ensure all shipping instructions are followed.
• Maintain an open line of communication with all departments including freight brokers
• Prepare all documentation for export / international shipments.
• Maintenance and notification of accurate delivery information to the customer and internal departments.
• Schedule pickups and determine best mode of transit
• Expedite shipments.
• Create Bills of Lading for shipments
• Scan / email customer invoice receipts and tracking information.
• Negotiate lower rates with shipping companies.
• Familiarize and remain current with international shipping rules and laws for all export shipments.
• Upload invoices into various customer portals
• Schedule transportation and prepare documentation for imports

• MATHEMATICAL SKILLS* Ability to use basic math skills to interpret quotations, economically order supplies and generate sales s.
• REASONING ABILITY* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• COMPUTER SKILLS* Ability to use Microsoft based software, i.e. MS Word, Excel, Access and Quick Books Pro to supply the company with the proper documentation, schedules and s a plus.

Experience and knowledge of SAP a plus.

• Associates Degree or 2 years experience in related field with a strong background in logistics sales; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
