Finance Manager

Managing the finances of the company’s group is crucial to the success of our organisation and we are seeking a skilled and motivates Finance Manager to manage all aspects of the finance operation. The successful candidate will be expected to build on our current day-to-day processes and ensure they effectively monito the control of the business finances.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsibility for overseeing all aspects of the accounts
• Cashflow
• Overseeing two part time accounts assistants
• Ensure all bank accounts are, reconciled against balance sheets
• Month end Profit & Loss, Management accounts
• Overseeing the data entry of supplier invoices
• Sub-contractor invoices and reverse charges
• Preparing the monthly supplier Bacs list
• Preparing all sales invoices and credit control
• All tax and regulatory requirements up to statutory level for the accounts
• Payroll processing and pension compliance
• Investigating financial discrepancies and reporting to management
• Responsibility for maintaining the payroll records and employee tax reporting
• Completing monthly PAYE, CIS, and VAT returns
• Managing, mentoring, and motivating the accounts team, giving training as required
• Fixed Assets register on Sage
• Accruals and prepayments
• Ad-hoc reports
• Liaison with external accountants, prepare for statutory accounts
• Project costings
• Overseeing timesheet project costings in Sage to ensure accuracy
• Stock movements
• Be the main point of contact with all external professional advisors including HMRC and auditors
• All month end procedures
• All year end procedures
• Pension submissions, pension assessments and payments to the company pension provider
• Additional job-related duties as required

Skills & Experience

• Highly organised, excellent diligence and ability to multi-task
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to deal with people at all levels
• Analytical and critical thinking skills
• Good understanding of Sage 50 accounts and Sage Payroll
• Recognised accounting qualification
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Qualified by experience, minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Robust system skills including, Excel, Word, and Outlook

Salary: Competitive salary package
