About the role

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to join our growing Global Talent Management team as a Global Talent Coordinator – Corporate.

This is a new role supporting an ambitious agenda focused on providing an engaging colleague experience to our corporate colleagues across the world. You will support IHG’s long-term ambitions and will have plenty of opportunities to take on new projects, build on existing programmes and make a lasting impact across the business. In the process, you will gain great exposure to stakeholders across the world.

We’re on a journey to re-imagine how we “do” talent management and talent development for our corporate population, and we’re looking for someone to learn and develop this approach with us. We’re a growing, tight-knit team and we’re looking for a fun, creative and confident individual who loves getting involved in varied initiatives and projects and seeing them through the entire lifecycle, from conception to delivery. This role will require you to take responsibility and accountability all whilst having the confidence to manage a fast-paced and exciting workload.

Maybe you have a couple of year’s previous experience in HR, talent management or colleague experience. Maybe you have a set of transferable skills and a passion for HR. A good attitude, agile mentality, strong ability to prioritise, impeccable eye for detail, strong communications skills and excellent stakeholder management will set you apart.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the design and delivery of the talent agenda for global corporate functions
• Contribute towards the execution of the global talent management cycle across IHG’s global corporate functions working closely with the HR generalist team, including preparing and presenting talent briefings, analysing data and managing the functional talent calendar
• Facilitate the delivery of our talent communication and engagement plan.
• End to end project support for key initiatives such as creating a critical experiences framework, reviewing our approach to talent assessments and building our HR team’s talent management capability.
• Proactive involvement in key projects and initiatives across the global talent COE and broader team.
• Supports the Global Talent Director – Corporate Talent in preparation of key stakeholder meetings

What we’re looking for

• Circa 2-3 years of experience in a fast-paced environment
• A keen interest in HR, talent management and colleague experience. Previous experience in this field is a plus
• Team player –flexible, positive approach
• Strong collaborator – builds relationships across and outside the team
• Self-starter, able to work at pace
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organised with evidence of multitasking and meeting deadlines
• Intermediate/Advanced PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate with different stakeholders and adapt style
• Passion for talent development and eagerness to learn more from the outside world
• Analytical and curious mindset – comfortable using data
• Culturally sensitive and able to work with colleagues across the world
• Comfortable and experienced working in a changing environment – able to work in the grey
• Able to join dots and spot opportunities for improvement in processes and projects

Whilst this role will initially be based in our Denham head office location, by the end of 2022 we will be relocating to our new Global Headquarters in central Windsor so you will need to be able to travel to Windsor as required in the longer term.
