Your day to day
• Perform a variety of routine accounting duties to ensure correct reporting of revenues & costs, the timely payment of invoices, and/or timely receipt of monies owed to the hotel. • To ensure effective & efficient banking; complying with safe cash handling procedures. This includes collection of the cash receipts from the entire hotel, reconciling & banking monies promptly & accurately. • To assist with the Hotel debtors’ function: processing credit applications, invoicing, debt collection, AR cashiering, reconciliations & month end requirements. • To be responsible for the accurate, proper recording & management of all Creditors for the Hotel. • Other ad-hoc duties including, but not limited to, Accounts Administration, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable & Reporting.
What we need from you
• Qualification in Accounting or Business Administration (or a related field) – advantageous. • You must meet the legal requirements to live & work in Australia. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & prioritise workload. • A solid understanding of finance practices & business acumen. • Demonstrated capability of collaborating with multiple stakeholders & managing competing priorities. • Proficient use of Microsoft Office (especially Microsoft Excel).
