Who you are

You have experience in pharmaceutical or nutraceutical manufacturing, experience in cannabinoid extraction or food processing. You have a keen eye for detail. You are comfortable (and proficient) in following SOP’s, completing production batch records accurately to ensure production of safe, quality products.

Job description

Responsibilities:

Perform all work activities in a safe manner and in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices by following written instructions in Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) while maintaining accurate Master Batch Records (MBR’s).

Participate in the purification of raw materials into finished Pharmaceutical Ingredients while operating equipment, including egg breaking, ultra filtration, protein separation, spray dryer equipment while using diagnostic tools to ensure quality standards are met.

Verify critical manufacturing steps executed by a second technician as prescribed in the SOP’s

Prepare solvents, solutions, and materials for use in the manufacturing process, while observing all safety protocols.

Perform sampling as required by the environmental monitoring program.

Perform cleaning and sanitation of production areas as part of the sanitation program, which includes all equipment, walls, ceilings, and floors.

Other duties that may arise relating to manufacturing as requested by Production Supervisors or the Production Manager.

Interacts with department members to ensure production proceeds as scheduled.

Carries out routine work with only basic instructions, and new assignments with detailed instructions.

Diagnoses and troubleshoots routine problems.

Has working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Safety and Environment

Ensures that all equipment, tools and surrounding plant are, to the best of his/her knowledge, safe to operate.

Complies with all safety-related procedures and practices personally and in area by following P-codes and wearing the proper personal protective equipment (PPE).

Regularly attends the Shift Safety Meetings and brings any concerns regarding safety to the Sr. Team Leader or Manufacturing Manager.

Reads and understands the Batch Records and related Hazard Data Packages for assigned processes.

Regularly inspects the work area and if appropriate, immediately notify supervision of any deviation, incident or safety concern.

Quality

Ensures that the finished products we produce are of the highest quality. Maintaining accurate production records is critical to help ensure any recall notices can resolve a potential manufacturing issue.

Cleaning thoroughly to ensure the QA team can meet our standards for testing of bacteria.

Ability to catch mistakes and verbalize the issue quickly, even if it means holding up production or having to discard unsafe product.
