Ignite is currently seeking a driven, detail-oriented Communication Engineer Field and Design Project Manager to join our team supporting the US Army, in Huntsville, AL. This position is onsite. Under the guidance of the Sr. Architect assists in the analysis, planning, and design of work-flows, functional attributes, and mapping and development milestones for Development Sprints. Leads the consolidation and modernization of US ARMY VTC and AV Strategies across the command.

Responsibilities include:

• Performs analysis of the existing structures and mission requirements.
• Develops the virtual architectural design, installation, and decommission strategy in coordination with the Modernization SME.
• Serve as the systems, products, and/or technologies design subject matter expert, focused across infrastructure domain technology solutions.
• Implement Army DEV/SEC/Ops strategies and best practices as a highly seasoned senior professional.
• Provide oversight for the build and decommissioning of secured and unclassified systems to multiple project teams from concept through solution delivery Life Cycle (Product and Project Delivery Lifecycles).
• Participates in technical evaluation, vendor management and standard setting processes.
• Provides input and support for planning and cost estimates for current or proposed projects.
• Act as practitioner and coach of Cabot’s Architecture Processes and Development Methodology.
• Develop and maintain the “as built” operational manuals, user/self-help guidance, schematics, SOPs, TTPs, and business and technical solutions to the architecture blueprints.
• Provide cross-domain, cross-functional and cross-industry expertise and recognizes opportunities to apply technical solutions across multiple initiatives.
• Develop and define the solution architecture given a set of business requirements.
• Participates in lifecycle planning including recommending upgrades, deployments, and retirements.
• Collaborate with Project Management Office and Service Management leaders to monitor and govern solution implementation.
• Recognize opportunities to improve existing solution architecture by applying new technologies.
• Provide expertise on industry leading hardware and/or software solutions as applied in a complex heterogeneous systems environment.
• Develops and implements comprehensive test plans.
• Provides configuration documentation and assists cybersecurity in compliance for ATO, STIGs, POA&Ms, etc.
• Communicates ideas both verbally and in writing to leadership and management staffs.

Security Clearance Requirements:

Must have an active Security Clearance, CompTIA + certification or the ability to obtain one.

Education Requirements:

• BS in Software Development or related plus 5 years of hands on experience with VTC Design and Deployment.

Other Requirements:
Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and hold an active Security Clearance,* CompTIA + certification.*

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
