POSITION PURPOSE

To provide a high level of support to test taker’s and other internal/external stakeholders. The role will also cover Invigilation for tests where required and provide administrative support for the office.

This is a casual position at Cairns.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service & Operations

• Demonstrate empathy when dealing with difficult and/or complicated customers who are anxious, angry or upset with the ability to calm any situation
• Have knowledge of when to escalate an inquiry to a senior team member or to the Test Centre Manager (TCM)
• Prepare pre and post test documentation in line with IELTS regulations
• Effectively set up the test room before and after each test
• Conduct registration procedures (i.e. ID Checks, IAM, cloaking etc.) as well as speaking test registrations when required
• Escort test takers on test breaks
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and escalate technology issues efficiently
• Manage test taker inquiries

Quality and Compliance

• Assist the testing team with any tasks/projects, administration or other operational or administrative duties as required
• Answer all communication inquiries in a timely manner as directed Accurately and efficiently enter data into IDP systems

Communication

• Give clear, consistent and comprehensive advice and instructions to test takers (including test information and rules)
• Work in a professional manner with customers and colleagues
• Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
• Answer all communication inquiries in a timely manner as directed by management

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Understanding and commitment to maintaining appropriate standards of confidentiality and security of materials
• Proven customer service experience (one year minimum)
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills (required) – Must be able to communicate with candidates from a variety of both English and non-English speaking countries
• Ability to respond flexibly to changes in priorities and time management skills
• Dependability, reliability, punctuality
• Ability to keep calm under pressure
• Availability to work on weekends
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office, ability to perform basic diagnosis and troubleshooting of computer software, hardware, peripherals and computer network
