Position Summary:
The Human Resources Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes for our team. This role administers payroll, employee health and welfare plans and all other administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entries.
Reports To: Human Resources Leader
Essential Functions:
Position requirements include, but are not limited to:
Maintenance of Workday HRIS and ADP Payroll systems and required and ad-hoc reporting
Process bi-weekly payroll for the Canadian team members
Manage payroll changes for US employees
Administer and process the required documents for the health and welfare plans, including enrolment, changes and terminations
Performs a customer service function by answering employee requests and questions and escalating as appropriate
Reconciles benefit statements
Assist with the recruitment, interview process and reference checks
Maintain both hard and digital employee files current
Perform orientation and update records for new team members
Partnering with QA department, create and maintain required training records and documentation
Generate and maintain required IT reports and IT tickets for employee changes
Assist with ad-hoc HR projects
All other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:
BA in Business, Human Resources or a related field
2+ years of experience in Payroll/Benefits roles
Prior experience in a manufacturing, engineering or Lean manufacturing environment
Effective HR administration and people management skills
Employee relations experience is a must
Demonstrated ability and experience working in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment is required
Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
Strong time management skill with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Computer Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
