Ideon Packaging Hiring for Machine Operator at Richmond, BC Full Time

About the Role:
Are you a self-driven individual with a passion for printing? We are looking for a detail oriented Machine Operator to join our Corrugated Boxes & Displays or Folding Cartons team. Both departments have seen tremendous growth in the last year and continues advancement. The Machine Operator plays a critical role in our Folding Carton team by producing custom boxes and working as a team in a manufacturing environment. Our ideal candidate has good mechanical ability and communications skills. We have a variety of shifts available with shift differentials, including:

Saturday-Monday, 1:00PM-1:30AM

Monday-Friday, 11:45PM-7:00AM

Responsibilities:
Adhere to all plant safety guidelines, policies and procedures

Set up, monitor the machine production and make adjustments as needed

Ensure required productivity goals are achieved

Control quality and waste while maintaining housekeeping standards

Review schedule and complete necessary documentation

Recommend improvements to operations and support continuous improvements efforts

Flexible to perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:
Effective communications skills and ability to follow written instructions

Ability to work well with people in a team environment

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Desire to learn and succeed

Good organization skills and reliable work habits

Basic computer skills and ability to follow written instructions

Previous machine operating experience is preferred

Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, as this position requires lifting, bending and moderate physical exertion
