Idea & Design Works Llc Hiring for Staff Accountant Job at Newark, NJ Full Time

IDW is looking for a detail-oriented staff accountant to join the Accounting and Finance department of our growing company. Candidate must possess attention to detail, great people skills, be team-oriented, and be very organized.

Duties:

• Perform bank deposits and timely bank reconciliations across company accounts
• Assist monthly cashflow analyses
• Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions
• Record payroll entries into the GL
• Create account reconciliations and analyses
• Process accounts payables from invoice to GL to payment
• Process receivables from receipt to GL
• Record debits and credits in Intacct
• Manage and process reimbursements within Certify
• Keep record of invoices and tax payments
• Maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts, posting transactions, and ensuring legal requirements compliance.
• Maintain files, records of financial transactions and general ledgers
• Assist with quarterly reviews and year-end audit
• Perform ad-hoc duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

• Associates degree in Accounting or related field
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong work ethic, solid time-management skills, detail-oriented and a resourceful self-starter who can work independently or in a team environment and take initiative and accountability for work product
• Flexible and adept nature to respond to changing and sometimes ambiguous situations
• High-level organizational skills capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and appropriately prioritize to conclusion within agreed upon deadlines
• High level of integrity and ethical standards
• Business fitting personality that will be punctual, and responsive with effective communication skills
