ICOHS College Hiring for CompTia, Cybersecurity Instructors Needed Job at Remote Full Time

SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the Adjunct Computer Technology Instructor provides classroom instruction in assigned classes and maintains office hours for student consultation. Looking to work with instructors who are passionate about technology. More importantly instructors who can motivate and inspire the next generation to work in the IT field.

Currently looking to hire instructors that can teach remotely Monday, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Please send your resume if you are interested.

It also includes the following:

1) Providing students with a written course syllabus

2) Evaluating and reviewing students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives

3) Demonstrating and ensuring the use of appropriate and effective teaching techniques, testing and grading procedures and any other appropriate record-keeping requirements

4) Utilizing technology to facilitate learning and to access data, maintain records, generate reports, and communicate with others

5) Effectively communicating using technology and oral or written communication skills

6) Effectively managing the classroom and supporting policies and procedures aimed at insuring appropriate student discipline

7) Meeting professional assignments in accordance with the college’s calendar and contractual obligations

The Adjunct Computer Technology Instructor performs other duties as assigned. The instructor must have one or more computer certifications (e.g., A+, Net+, CCNA, Sec+, Server+ Pen Test+, etc.) or ability to attain an Industry certification within 3 months.

• Computer Hardware & Software (A+)
• Networking Pro (Network+)
• Fundamentals of Cyber Security (Security+)
• Cisco CCNA Certified

Other Responsibilities:

• Meets with students, staff members and other educators to discuss students’ instructional programs and other issues
• Selects and assesses student learning outcomes, fosters effective learning in both classroom and lab settings, and promotes good public relations for the school.
• Assists in curriculum revision processes for the Information Technology Department
• Maintains and reviews classrooms and laboratories in accordance with approved classroom and lab management plans

• Apply knowledge of and experience in accreditation processes, specifically related to student learning outcomes, program review and integrated planning
• Function in a site educational organization to promote the goals of the College
• Effectively use technology and computer software programs, including MS Office
• Organize and manage individual and team projects
• Promote collegiality, staff cohesiveness and the core values of the institution
• Work with a diverse population

Technology Skills:

• General understanding of Canvas and Campus Café.
• The ability to teach multiple different course types as listed above.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering Technology, Digital Electronics & Design, or closely related field from an accredited college or university
• Three years of experience within the last ten years in the IT industry or closely related industry
• Commitment to staff diversity, learning and development
• One or more computer certifications (e.g., A+, Net+, CCNA, Sec+, Server+ Pen Test+.) or ability to attain an Industry certification within 3 Months

Preferred (Desired) Qualifications:

• Five years of experience within the last ten years in the IT industry or closely related industry.
• Three years instructor/training experience
• One or more computer certifications (e.g., A+, Net+, CCNA)
