Job Description:
The Associate Director of Admissions contributes to all aspects of admissions, recruitment and financial aid and will direct the admissions process from inquiry through enrollment. The Director will lead a collaborative effort to develop and implement both short-term and long-term recruitment strategies to ensure ICL
Academy meets enrollment objectives.
The ideal candidate will be a data driven decision maker, an experienced admission and financial aid professional, and a creative leader in admission, recruitment and retention. The AD will develop and lead inclusive outreach efforts to draw diverse families to the school and ensure that ICL continues to enroll promising students who both thrive as part of the school community and in turn contribute to the community as a whole. The AD should be a team player who has a warm collaborative nature, positive energy, sense of humor, possess superior organization and prioritization skills and is self-motivated in the completion of his/her work. She/he will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills including outstanding writing and public speaking skills and the ability to interact comfortably with a variety of people. This person will have a genuine empathy for prospective families and an awareness of the needs and sensitivities of parents, students, faculty, staff and administrators and ultimately be able to manage expectations and deliver admissions decisions in a manner that is honest, caring, and diplomatic.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Respond to all new student inquiries with the goal of cultivating relationships of all mission appropriate families.
2. Manage the admissions process, from first inquiry to acceptance/contracting.
3. Maintain appropriate admission statistics and evaluate to monitor effectiveness of admissions process.
4. Establish recruitment strategies to draw and keep mission-appropriate families.
5. In conjunction with Admissions and Marketing, develop marketing tools, events and advertising campaigns, etc. to catch the attention of mission appropriate families.
6. In conjunction with Admissions and Marketing, develop marketing tools for student recruitment, enrollment and enrollment.
7. Work with Head of School to schedule interviews for prospective families.
8. Provide virtual tours of our school – both individual and group/
9. Design/produce mailings and correspondence pertinent to the admissions process.
10.Educate and enlist faculty and staff to assist where needed in the admission process.
11.Establish, maintain and evaluate appropriate systems to facilitate family visits, student testing, and interviewing.
12. In conjunction with administrative and development staff, develop and evaluate screening process for both mission appropriateness and academic readiness.
13.Keep appropriate records and statistics throughout the enrollment process.
14. In conjunction with the administrative and development staff, evaluate applicants for admission.
15. In conjunction with administrative and development staff, develop tools and programs to assist in new student enrollment.
16.Develop a detailed one to three year marketing plan to target, nurture, enroll and keep mission appropriate students.
17.Assist with Admissions events and activities where needed.
Additional Qualifications and Abilities
This is a part-time or full-time, 12-month position, depending on the candidate’s goals and availability. A willingness to work outside of 9-5 business hours is essential, as peak periods and special events necessitate some evening and weekend work.
