The ICE Group is currently looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join its Finance Team. The ICE Group comprises of ICE Engineering and Construction, Yura Yarta Services and M&B Civil and is part of the E&A Limited Group of companies. The ICE Group provides specialist electrical and instrumentation, civil construction and labour hire services across a broad range of industries.

ICE Engineering and Construction, part of the E&A Limited group of companies, is a specialist Electrical and Instrumentation Installation company that operates in the Heavy Industrial and Renewable Energy sectors. Due to recent growth, we have an immediate need for a suitably experienced Assistant Accountant to cover various duties in our Adelaide Office.

Position responsibilities

Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, the Assistant Accountant will support the group finance team. Key tasks of the role include:

• Processing account receivable and payable functions in compliance with the company policies and procedures.
• Support the payroll processing
• Assist with monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
• Assisting with projects to improve processes and reporting for the group
• Other accounting and finance related tasks as required

What you will bring to the team

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Practical accounting knowledge from either work experience and/or qualifications
• An eye for detail with the ability to produce quality work whilst under pressure
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience using Pronto software is desirable but not essential
• “Can do” attitude aligned to our culture and values
