Your Role and Responsibilities
As a 1st line manager you will be responsible to manage consultants who will deploy IBM zSW at client locations. You will lead the Z Software deployment team which provides IBM Z software services solutions and is responsible for the Z Software deployment services business.

The role is responsible for managing a cross-country / cross-geo services team of consultants and Business Partners with direct responsibilities in developing, deploying and delivering Enterprise Solutions based on the IBM Z software portfolio. This role is responsible for coordinating delivery services for an engagement. The services include technical solutions, resources, and other services the customer requires. The manager is also responsible for forecasting service delivery needs, skills demand and adjusting to meet WW client service needs. For delivery, the team should be focused on the deployment of zSW including the introduction of new products and technologies.

Candidate must have a thorough understanding of the customer’s business, goals, strategies, and industry trends and directions. She/he coordinates and contributes to efforts of large, multi-disciplinary teams, working to integrate products and services required to meet the customer’s needs. The role is accountable for business results including meeting client satisfaction, productivity, financial, and other business measurements.

• Lead by example in all activities. Support change, encourage employees to innovate, evaluate suggestions, and remove obstacles to implementation
• Assure employee equity and encourage employee growth and opportunity
• Advise and coach employees to help them develop their skills and capabilities to best meet their career desires and current or future business needs
• Execute processes for the normal operation of employee programs. Analyze and interpret new situations. Resolve complex problems independently or through the management of others

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
1st Line management experience.

Experience with IBM Systems products and services
Project management experience
Customer facing delivery experience
Familiarity with IBM Z products and offerings

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
2+ years’ experience leading in a matrixed environment
5+ years’ experience working for an IT company
