The Role
We are looking for a Finance Analyst who will partner with IAG’s Customer Growth segment by providing value adding financial performance insights and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision of P&L reporting and forward-looking performance analysis specific to several portfolio’s (TBA), focusing on key business drivers, and ensuring stakeholders understand how they are tracking towards financial targets.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting process for these portfolios, supporting the identification of recommendations which enable the achievements of (and/or close any gaps in) business plans, operational performance, and strategic targets.
- Develop, manage, and maintain key stakeholder relationships within the portfolios to enable a strategic finance business partnering relationship.
- Provide targeted finance support for initiatives and projects in the portfolio’s, including scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis, project reporting (benefits realisation and costs tracking), business case preparation and deep dive financial analysis.
- Provide support as required to initiatives led within DIA Finance and Australia Finance as a whole.
- Coordinate the provision of consistent, insightful, and timely Total Controllable Expense (TCE) reporting to the relevant stakeholders, that supports effective decision making.
- Partner with the relevant stakeholders to budget, forecast and manage TCE, whilst collaborating with the Enterprise Finance team.
- Provide strategic financial support and advice for initiatives, including scenario modelling, financial target setting (both short term and long term), ad hoc business partnering support, business case preparation (non-Investment slate) and targeted financial analysis.
- Support the improvement of financial governance, reporting and accurate forecasting, identifying financial risks and value creation opportunities by sharing frameworks, methodologies, and tools for effective management.
Skills & Experience
- Financial Services expertise required, preferably within Insurance
- Experience in finance and accounting including management reporting, technical accounting knowledge, and business commerciality
- Strong understanding of business and financial impacts of operational decisions
- Extensive knowledge of finance reporting systems and frameworks
- Experience operating and delivering results in a matrix environment and leveraging relationships to influence and drive outcomes
- Tertiary qualifications, i.e., Postgraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
- CA/CPA/CIMA qualified
