Hywel Dda University Health Board Hiring for Finance Analyst Job at Carmarthen, Wales Full Time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated member of staff to join the Statutory Reporting Finance team. The post holder will support staff at Band 5 and below and will work closely with the Assistant Finance Business Partner to deliver the team objectives.

The Health Board employs over 10,000 staff and has a budget of around £0.8 billion. We are responsible for the operation of four district general hospitals other acute and community hospitals, and a network of health centres, clinics, community health team bases and mental health units. In addition, it also coordinates the work of GP practices and NHS services provided by dentists, opticians and pharmacies.

Responsibilities for this role include : –

Manage team workplans. Undertake a monthly review of the balance sheet. Authorise all payments in the Bankline system. Provide monthly analysis to assist in cash forecasting. Completion of all Welsh Government Financial Returns. Assist in the delivery of the Annual Accounts. Oversee the process for Losses and Special payments. Assist in the preparation of the Charitable Funds Annual Accounts and have an overview of the process. System admin for the accounting software for balance sheet reconciliations.
