This role is also likely to bring opportunities to be a subject matter expert on models, owning modelling approaches and to contribute to team learning and development.

You will:
Build and maintain software providing asset allocations, manager monitoring and retirement solutions.

Help the development team understand the requirements of complex financial calculations.

Build an understanding of system design and risk issues relevant to existing financial models.

Work alongside high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams (comprising of developers, delivery leads, testers and actuaries.)

About You

In order to succeed in, and enjoy this role, you are likely to have experience with:

Actuarial calculations, in particular working on Defined Benefit pension schemes

Test-driven development.

Object-oriented development patterns and approaches (primarily in delivering C# .NET solutions).

Microsoft development stack including ASP.NET & ASP.NET Core and/or Functional programming experience (F# optional).

You will likely be:
Self-motivated with a drive to learn and share knowledge.

Focused on continuous learning and improvement.

An effective communicator and a great team player.

Able to effectively articulate actuarial concepts with team members/stakeholders from a non-actuarial background.

Confident across the software development lifecycle.
