Your days will include:

  • Planning preventative maintenance repairs to minimize mill downtime and maximize life expectancy of equipment
  • Support projects including working on project teams as required in the design, installation, and commission of new or modified equipment
  • Maintaining records of maintenance repairs and improvements
  • Maintaining inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders
  • Assisting the Mill Manager with any feed production plans
  • Assisting in preventing feed contamination/slippage


To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5 years’ experience in maintenance
  • A Red Seal Industrial Mechanic/Millwright or Industrial Electrician preferred, apprentice or extensive amount of mechanic experience acceptable
  • Availability to be on call and work weekends
  • Class 5 or higher boiler certificate an asset
