Your days will include:
- Planning preventative maintenance repairs to minimize mill downtime and maximize life expectancy of equipment
- Support projects including working on project teams as required in the design, installation, and commission of new or modified equipment
- Maintaining records of maintenance repairs and improvements
- Maintaining inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders
- Assisting the Mill Manager with any feed production plans
- Assisting in preventing feed contamination/slippage
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-5 years’ experience in maintenance
- A Red Seal Industrial Mechanic/Millwright or Industrial Electrician preferred, apprentice or extensive amount of mechanic experience acceptable
- Availability to be on call and work weekends
- Class 5 or higher boiler certificate an asset
