When we’re calling 6 candidates to arrange interviews; organising offer letters and contracts; or giving HR advice over the phone, we might be in our home office, at the summit of Dunkery Beacon or at the Beach café in Weymouth – but we always deliver what our customers need.

For the right person, we can forge this role to be solely recruitment focused or a mixture of recruitment and HR. This will all depend on you and what’s important to you.

Purpose of the Role (the nitty gritty)

Working in a small, busy awesome team supporting with Recruitment and HR for a number of customers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate, administer and manage the recruitment and selection process to meet our customers’ needs
• Co-ordinate everyone for happy hour at the Cosy Club – who doesn’t want 241 cocktails?
• Prepare and place job adverts and job descriptions on all media outlets and recruitment systems
• Prepare to laugh more at work, more than you’ve ever done before
• Provide support to recruiting managers throughout the recruitment process, to include assistance with scheduling, shortlisting, setting up interviews etc
• Provide support to Andre in the morning, he doesn’t get going until 11am
• Liaise confidently with candidates to give them the best candidate experience they’ve ever had
• Liaise with the UK table tennis governing body where necessary – we treat our ping pong tournaments very seriously
• Ensure all documentation is in place for successful candidates including all pre-employment checks whilst delivering an unforgettable onboarding experience
• Ensure you’ve got your tickets ready for the next time we all go and see Coldplay or Michael McIntyre together
• Must ensure our customers remain fully compliant at all times with their regulatory requirements, for example, the Single Central Record in Schools
• Must be a good listener and have an eye for detail to make up for the qualities missing in one member of the team, we won’t mention his name
• Build meaningful relationships with our key stakeholders/customers – our relationships with them are hugely important to us
• Build anything you want with Claire – she’s the creative one
• Deal with day-to-day HR and Recruitment queries with the support of the team
• Deal the cards when it’s your turn – we’re partial to a bit of rummy or poker
• Produce offer letters, contracts, contract variations and undertake other general administration tasks
• Produce the odd tea/coffee round; we all take turns, but some (Katie) drink way more tea than the rest of us

About you. You will:

• Be happy to work independently but have the support of an amazing team around you
• Love the independence of working from home but also enjoy being part of the team when we all get together
• Be happy to travel to visit our customers when required, you can’t beat face to face contact
• Be personable and communicate effectively both written and verbally
• Have that gumption – that makes us different
• Be resilient; a grafter; we work hard and at times to tight ever-changing deadlines, but we laugh, we have fun and we have each others backs
• Have administration experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment
• Ideally have experience in recruitment (not essential because we will show you the ropes)
• Work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Be organised and have the ability to prioritise workload; juggle competing priorities and adjust to changing business/team needs
• Work flexibly, we don’t mind when the work gets done as long as we meet deadlines/the needs of our customers.
• Be someone who just wants to do the job above and isn’t looking for more; that’s fine by us. Or, be someone who wants to develop and grow, because we will support you to do this; sharing knowledge/experience and offer the opportunity to undertake a formal HR/Recruitment Qualification
