Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Human Resources is a highly visible position with exposure to both Senior and Corporate leadership. This is a fantastic opportunity to influence the strategic direction of the business, whilst working with a supportive leadership team. A key to this role is aligning colleague, corporate and operational strategies, to deliver an exceptional colleague experience and achieve business objectives. The Human Resources Director plays a key role in positioning the hotel as an employer of choice.

The Human Resources function prides itself on excellence, service, integrity and accountability. The Human Resources Director will oversee the daily operation of the Human Resources Department. Responsible for areas of Recruiting, Employee Relations, wage and salary administration, Benefits, Training, Workers Compensation, and other employee-related tasks.

To be successful in this position, you must possess:

• Proven ability to lead a team and influence HR strategy
• Be able to demonstrate innovative thinking and execution
• Experience within a leadership position in a 5 star hotel or similar hospitality environment
• You will have in-depth, generalist knowledge of applying HR practices, policies and employment law in a fast paced environment
• Effective time management skills to meet commitments across multiple departments, priorities and deadlines
